MEADVILLE, Pa. – Senior three-time All-American Mitch Supan (Medina/Walsh Jesuit) capped a decorated career by breaking two school records and a host of freshmen led the Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field teams at the Eighth Annual Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny (Pa.) College at Frank B. Fuhrer Field at Robertson Complex.  The meet was unscored.

Supan highlighted the Yellow Jacket men by breaking school records in the discus and shot put.  His event-winning discus mark of 180 feet and nine inches broke his own record, set in 2011, by more than six inches, and his shot put toss of 56-6.75 surpassed Greg Patrick's old record, set in 2010.  Supan finished second in the shot put and hammer throw with a toss of 194-10.

Seniors Jake Buckey (Geneva) and Zach Marinucci (Brunswick) also competed in the hammer throw and placed sixth (169-10) and eighth (166-1), respectively.  Buckey also hurled the javelin 186 feet and placed second, while Marinucci was fourth in the discus with a throw of 154-1.

Freshman Tyler Burdoff (Painesville/Riverside) also threw the discus and came in ninth at 139-4.

Freshman Sammy Ibrahim (North Olmsted) recorded a 20-1 mark in the long jump and placed ninth.

Freshman Ben Biedelman (Washington, D.C./St. Anselm's Academy) was the only Yellow Jacket to compete in running events and clocked 10.95 in the 100-meter dash to place fourth.
